Frequently Asked Questions

What dyslexia curriculum do you use in therapy?

We utilize premier, evidence-based dyslexia curricula — including Take Flight, the Scottish Rite program which represents the gold standard for therapeutic intervention, and Esperanza for Spanish-speaking students. Both are rooted in the Orton-Gillingham approach.

How many weekly sessions does therapy require?

Lex i Lift requires a minimum of three sessions per week. Research consistently shows that high-intensity frequency is necessary to achieve true, lasting brain-based reading change. Our therapy models are built strictly around clinical fidelity standards, prioritizing what your child needs over convenience scheduling.

How fast will we see results?

While every child’s learning profile and timeline are unique, parents often see early wins and confidence boosts within a few months of consistent therapy. Our CALTs continuously track and measure growth, ensuring that every milestone is clearly explained and built upon.

Do I need a diagnosis before starting?

A formal evaluation from a licensed diagnostician is required before therapy begins. If your child has not yet been evaluated, we can help connect you with a qualified third-party evaluator in the DFW area. Start with a free consultation and we will guide you from there.
